"There seems to be a spate of Land Rover thefts in the area at the moment. A
resident had his Land Rover stolen on Wednesday night at 10.30 whilst he was
at home. He saw the thieves drive off in it (they also arrived in a Land
Rover). 

The owner managed to find the vehicle abandoned in a wood some miles away
but the front and spare wheels had been removed, together with the radio. It
had also suffered some damage to the underside. 

PC Mark Randle visited the owner at home yesterday and confirmed that there
had been several Land Rovers stolen recently in our area. If you see any
people in the area (maybe in a Land Rover) acting suspiciously, please take
a note of the number and pass it on to the Police."
