I have many happy memories of the village, where we lived as a family for many years. My dad (smokey) worked for Caves and my mum was a dinner lady at the school.I still go back for a visit, and stop outside the White bungalow reminiscing. Happy days.:)

Enjoyed your site, particularly the old photos, as I am researching my ancestors who lived in Everleigh at the end of the 18th century - the family name was JEE and I have a Parish Clerk, Blacksmith and Shopkeeper in my tree - I would be interested to know if anyone has access to any information about any JEE (or GEE or JAY) in Everleigh late 1700s/early 1800s

Hello to all in Everleigh. We have just discovered your website, and have been looking at all the lovely photos from the past. We stopped off to take some refreshment in The Crown but saw it was closed, shame. Is the closure permanent?
We looked briefly around Everleigh and thought it was lovely, hopefully may live there one day.
Great worthwhile website. Ken & Sharon Martin.
