Thank you for the website, a thoroughly interesting read. I was particularly interested in the picture gallery.
We have now lived at Everleigh House for just over a year and are thoroughly enjoying living here on the edge of the plain. I believe our house used to be called Lower House Farm. There is a handwritten history of the house that I may be able to get a copy of. If so, I will try and get permission to include some extracts on the site if that would be of interest?

My mum and dad came to stay with us over Christmas and they were staggered to find a web site for Everleigh. Every time I speak to dad (Ray Guilford) he asks if there's anything new on the site and it has really excited him (even at the age of 80!). Whenever I mention a name/story on the site he seems to recall another tale. I sent him some photos from the site and he has something to say about most of them, one in particular - his dad's old house (Stephen) - really evoked memories. If anyone does remember my dad I would be delighted to hear from you.

A great site - well done to everyone who has put time and effort in to making it happen!

John Guilford:)

I used to live in Lower Everleigh during the late 60's early 70's. I was around 9 years old. My father Don Lander used to be a dairy farmer for a farm that was opposite the road. Cows used to graze on salisbury plain.I have memories of cowslips,. a deserted house where barn owls lived.A family called the Parsons who I believe was a sheperd for the farm.
An exciting thing was Army tanks empty shell casings AH yes the school had a giant playfied (WELL I WAS ONLY 9 YEARS OLD THEN) 2 classrooms with a black coal boiler with a pipe chimmney we used to fight to get close to this heater in the winter. was anybody else there? do you remember Don Lander?
regards ian lander.

Hello all at Everleigh,
I have been doing research on our rellies from Wiltshire. Great great grandfather Hugh Strong Gulliver was baptised at St. Peters Everleigh. your site is interesting & informative, and I would like to thank all involved in putting it up. Is it possible to add some photos, St. Peters, The Crown or other interesting landmarks that you have listed.
Well done

Hi Julia

Thanks for the 'thanks!' ;)

There are some photo's in the Everleigh Gallery Section, and I have a rather large pile of scanning to do which should more than double the photo collection ! :)

Please keep coming back to check for updates.

Cheers
