Just found your site after discovering that my great-great grandmother was a servant in Everleigh Manor in 1841 when Sir John Astley was in his 60's. How wonderful to have history and pictures! Thanks! :)

Thinks to my cousin in Australlia Ive heard about the Everleigh site
I'm one of the Copes
Two sisters married two brothers.My Auntie and Mum came down to Everleigh during the war when the Manor was a convalescence home they did their nursing there.Iwas born in the little house next to Bradfords Shop.Auntie Cis and Uncle Tom lived next door,we moved up to Pigleaze Cottages when I was about two.
The first four Council Houses in Everleigh.Stringers No 1 Edwards No 2 Copes in No's 3 and 4.Woderfull memories of Everleigh. Nice to see Glyn Lewis on there we were born the same year went to Primary School to gether the other two of us about the same age was Alex Knowles and Nick Bradford who sadly passed away a couple of years ago could go on
