David Beaton (CD 850457) writes: The Parish Council meeting at the beginning of March was attended by two members of the public. Don't forget meetings are open to all members of the public and there is an opportunity for you to raise any topics of interest or concern. A summary of the meeting is shown elsewhere in this issue of The Courier. Building work has commenced on two sites at West View and others are planned to start soon. The new buildings will make a neglected area of the village much more attractive. Following the success of last year’s barbecue we are planning to hold another one this year, subject to the permission of Cyril Weinman, owner
of The Crown. In addition to the barbecue, which is free to village residents, there will be entertainment for younger people. In the afternoon of the barbecue there will be a voluntary litter pick around the village. This was poorly supported last year but we hope we have a better response this year. The date of the barbecue and litter pick will be announced in the next issue of The Courier. The Annual Parish Meeting takes place at The Crown on Tuesday 6th May at 7 pm. All are invited to attend. |
