We are urging residents in Swindon to be extra vigilant following reports of a series of burglaries this morning. (9/1)
At approximately 6.30am, offenders broke in to two separate addresses in Salisbury Street in Broadgreen by smashing rear windows.
At approximately 7am, an address in Radnor Street, in the Kingshill area was broken in to.
On each occasion, the offenders were disturbed by the occupants and made off, with no items believed to have been stolen.
Det Sgt Gareth Snoad said: “We are urging anyone in the Broadgreen and Kingshill areas who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the areas between 6.30am and 7am this morning to get in touch immediately. Please could we ask that residents in these areas review any home camera systems as you may have significant footage which could assist our enquiries.
“We’d also urge residents to be extra vigilant, ensure all windows and doors are locked overnight and consider doorbell cameras or CCTV. Report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood immediately.”
Enquiries are currently ongoing.
