Wiltshire Council is calling on residents to have their say on the future of local waste and recycling services, with a new public survey now open.
Launched on Friday 20 March 2026, the survey will run until 17 April and aims to gather feedback on how households currently manage their waste. This includes everyday recycling habits, use of Household Recycling Centres (HRCs), and opinions on proposed service changes.
Among the key proposals being explored are the introduction of three-weekly collections for general household waste, alongside plans for weekly food waste collections from 2027. The council is also considering expanding recycling options to make it easier for residents to reduce what goes to landfill.
The feedback collected will play a vital role in shaping how services are delivered in the future. Wiltshire Council says the goal is to create a system that is practical for residents, environmentally responsible, and aligned with upcoming national “Simpler Recycling” requirements.
Residents are encouraged to take part and share their views to help ensure future services meet the needs of communities across Wiltshire.
