Bids for TAB Grants.
Good News! The Everleigh Parish Council were successful in 2 bids for TAB Grants: £998-10 for the Everleigh Village Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration on Monday 4th June; and £820 for an additional piece of equipment for the village playground (skateboard) under the Youth Initiatives scheme. Once funds have been received, orders for equipment can be placed by lead councillors.
The Olympic torch will tour UK, starting at Land’s End on 19 May and ending on 27 Jul in London. It will comprise of 120 torchbearers and 80 vehicles, including national and local media. The torch is due to travel through N Wilts 22-23 May and the S Wilts on Wednesday 11th July. The latter will include Ludgershall, Tidworth, Amesbury, the Winterbournes and Salisbury, where there will be an evening function. The torch will depart Salisbury on Thursday 12th July. Once timings and the precise route are promulgated, Wilts Council will launch an advertising campaign to encourage residents to come and watch the spectacle.
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee 2012.
A large marquee village will be established in Salisbury in preparation for a display of all aspects of Wiltshire on Tuesday 1st May. Each Area Board in the county will be asked to contribute. Everleigh will feature in the Tidworth Area Board effort.

Tidworth Community Area Awards.
This annual event will take place on Wednesday 25th April at the Wellington Academy at 7pm. There are 7 categories of awards. Nominations are due by 30th March. Details are available on the TCAP website www.tidworthcommunityarea.info
