The first 2 weeks of March have the Field Training Unit training the Light Dragoon Battle Group using the Army Weapons Effect Simulation system on Exercise WESSEX STORM,
using extensive areas across the Plain. Concurrently HQ 3rd (UK) Division will mount a deployment exercise for elements of the Lead Armoured Task Force. This training will
involve a simulated road move utilising Salisbury Plain transit routes in the East and Centre.
Some 700 plus armoured and wheeled vehicles will transit this route on the 9th March.
Convoys will be dispatched at regular intervals and disruption to civilian traffic at A and C tank crossings on the A345, CC and DD tank crossings on the A338, GG tank crossing on
the A3076, and BB and A2 tank crossings on the A342 are likely throughout the day.

The last 2 weeks of March are busy across the whole Plain with the West (Imber Ranges) being used for a major live firing Combined Arms Demonstration 17th – 20th March involving
1st Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment Battle Group supported by Artillery, attack helicopters and fighter ground attack. The following week a major logistics exercise TIMBER TRUSS run
by the Defence Logistics School 21st – 27th March involving convoys of heavy trucks will use all training area transit routes.
