We are looking for volunteers to help us shape the future of policing in Wiltshire.
Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) are made up of people of all ages and backgrounds, who come together to provide independent advice to the police.
Anyone can join, but we are particularly keen to focus on diversity and the effect of policing on the protected characteristics as covered by the Equality Act 2000; Age, Disability, Gender reassignment, Marriage and Civil Partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity, Race, Religion and Belief, Sex and Sexual Orientation.
You don’t need any formal qualifications. You do not need any previous experience in a community role or in policing. You do not need to be a representative of any group or organisation. We want you for your opinions, advice and personal experience.
All you need is an interest in policing and its effects on your community, and a willingness to advise and offer constructive criticism.
To apply, please visit www.wiltshire.police.uk/YourArea.
Enter your postcode, or click on the community policing team for your area and click on “Join our IAGs”
We look forward to seeing you there.
